1. God

• General thanks
  Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! [2Cor 9:15]
• Praise
  who delivered me from my enemies; yes, you exalted me above those who rose against me; you rescued me from the man of violence. For this I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations, and sing to your name. [Ps 18:48–49]
• Asking for his honour & glory
  hallowed be your name.Your kingdom come [Matt 6:9–13]
  All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen [Jude 1:24–25]
• Asking for his kingdom to grow and be blessed
  • revival

2. My relationship with God

• Personal thanks
• Express love & intimacy
  I love you, O LORD, my strength. [Ps 18:1]
• Request:
  • more intimacy and feeling close & loved
    I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God...” [Eph 3:14–21]
  • feeling forgiveness from sin
    and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. [Mat 6:12]

  While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’ Then he fell on his knees and cried out, ‘Lord, do not hold this sin against them.’ When he had said this, he fell asleep. [Acts 7:59–60]

5. Intercession for others

  since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power.
